This year’s International Conference on Systems Biology was held in a stunning OIST campus in Okinawa. It is always nice to meet colleagues around the world and especially in Japan. There was a lot of interactions between participants, many informal picnic lunches around campus with amazing ocean views. Important moments for the group as Barbara had her first conference presentation which she totally nailed! She presented her latest work on the population model of ageing yeast with the focus on cellular rejuvenation and healthspan. Johannes presented a poster of cdc42 polarization mechanism in yeast and got thoroughly examine by Marija’s PhD advisor Edda.
