A new lab toy!

This year was all about establishing ourselves as a truly interdisciplinary group covering both theoretical and experimental approaches. We were fortunate enough to have access to the labs of the Department of Biology and Biological Engineering at Chalmers and Biophysics group at the Department of Physics at the University of Gothenburg where experimental part of our research is performed. But, we were eager to get our own toys and big decision was made in late Spring: We are going to buy a microscope!

And several months later a fantastic Leica DMi8 fluorescent optical microscope has arrived!

Today was a day to officially inaugurate the new toy and to celebrate the beginning of a new chapter of our research life!
